This project involved modernizing two passenger traction elevators in two separate hoistways, for a total of four elevators in Building 9 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda MD. The Scope of work included the demolition of elevator landings/lobbies and existing Fan Coil Units and the installation of minisplit HVAC units, in mechanical rooms to maintain cooling/heating levels for elevator controllers and equipment. This project also involved installation of two new sump pumps along with the required piping and associated set lines, ductwork modifications. In addition, new thermostats and control wiring were installed.
